Palin started her week by boldly lying about supposed pay decreases for our armed forces. The implication was that Obama was decreasing the pay of armed forces personnel, when in reality, he had requested a pay raise for them to take effect in 2011. Via BroadwayCarl:

going on to cite a Newsmax article. Newsmax!
On the Facebook post itself, Palin's fawning, and unpaid, lackeys deleted all comments which called her out or cited the truth. I know this because not only did it happen to Broadway Carl, it happened to me when I posted a comment citing the truth of the matter. She scrubbed my comment, and banned me from her page.
Pretty clear she would like to repeal the first amendment. What a hack...
On Tuesday, Palin's publisher, HarperCollins, announced that Palin's new book would be released on November 23, 2010. Oh joy.
The title of this latest ghostwritten bit of stuff and nonsense, is "America By Heart: Reflections on Family, Faith and Flag", but on Twitter, users have been tweeting entries to an unofficial naming “contest” using the hashtag #palinsnewbooktitle. As of today, they're still at it. A few of my favorites:
“How to Select Insane Baby Names”Wednesday, 12 MAY 2010
“Praise the Lord and Pass the Ammunition”
“Low Expectations: The Sarah Palin Story”
On Wednesday evening, Palin spoke at a GOP fundraiser in Chicagoland, mocking Obama's message of hope and change, "that hopey, changey thing", and attacking Rachel Maddow and MSNBC.
She inserted herself in to a local school's affairs when she criticized the administration's decision to cancel a trip to Arizona by the girls basketball team in protest of the Arizona immigration law, SB1070, and mocked the school further for sponsoring a trip to China.
Today, I learned that Fox News is going after the principal of the school for supporting a sensitivity training program.
The school official who nixed a girls' high school basketball team's planned trip to Arizona once supported a controversial program that required ninth-graders to attend a “freshman advisory” class at which gay upperclassmen shared stories of their high school experiences.
Tolerance of others, intolerance of hate, are apparently to be punished rather than applauded in GOP world.
And naturally, despite the fact that some scientists have said that the Deepwater Horizon oil spill is likely an extinction event, "Drill, baby, drill" is still Sarah Palin's mantra:
Friday, 14 MAY 2010“We do have to drill. We cannot stall. We do need oil”
On Friday, she spoke to an anti-choice group that has the gall [as if Susan B. Anthony would wish to limit women's choices] to call itself the 'Susan B. Anthony List' at a fundraiser in Washington D.C..
She praised female leaders of the tea party movement and invoked the 2008 acceptance speech where she compared herself to a pit bull."You don't want to mess with moms who are rising up," Palin said at the Susan B. Anthony List event. "If you thought pit bulls were tough, you don't want to mess with mama grizzlies."
I thought that the rather affectionate reference to "mama grizzlies" was inappropriate considering the decor of her office as the governor of Alaska before she quit featured a dead grizzly bear on a couch. Said dead bear courtesy of her father.
Next, still speaking at the Susan B. Anthony List event, and unable to resist the blatant falsehoods she loves to tell, she again went after Obama, claiming that he is "the most pro-abortion president ever to occupy the White House", and asserting that the health care law would fund abortion.
In fact, Obama's health care law would not allow federal dollars to pay for elective abortions. Catholic hospitals and organizations of Catholic nuns backed the measure. U.S. Catholic bishops and major anti-abortion groups opposed it, arguing that federal dollars could end up paying for abortions.
Also on Friday, she spoke to NRA members at their national convention in Charlotte, N.C., and made another seemingly false claim that Obama would ban guns if he could.
"Don't doubt for a minute that, if they thought they could get away with it, they would ban guns and ban ammunition and gut the Second Amendment. It's the job of all of us at the NRA and its allies to stop them in their tracks."
Palin, has been a member of the NRA since birth, and grew up with dead animals decorating her home. What the whackjob failed to mention, is that Obama has seemingly little interest in gun rights, and has made no statements, nor taken any action to reduce second amendment rights. In point of fact, Obama signed in to law a bill allowing people to carry loaded guns in national parks, a thing with which I strongly disagree.
Guns are bad enough. Open carry is just asking for trouble. But, if you give me a choice between open carry, and Sarah Palin as a part of our national consciousness, I’ll take the open carry – it’s less dangerous.
