Modern Glam Weekly Shopping Find:May 17

This week's shopping find is from my Etsy shop. I know, this really is shameless self-promotion, however, a girl has gotta make a living! So, please forgive me, and trust me when I tell you that my own products are worthy of being a "find"!

This beautiful necklace is a tribute to femininity and glam, with it's many rose-colored Austrian crystals, Swarovski of course, natural, freshwater white pearls, and gorgeous, rare 14k gold-filled beads. Created for the woman who is confident enough to enjoy being sexy and feminine,  it is also versatile enough to be worn with many different looks. From the little black dress, to jeans and a white shirt, it becomes the beautiful focal point, drawing attention to your face. 

Each bead was individually hand-wired to a 14k gold-filled chain, and the necklace fastens with  a hand-forged gold clasp.

Is Etsy.com Selling Out to Martha??

According to Etsy co-founder, and current CEO, Rob Kalin, no, it is not. 

Yesterday, an article surfaced in Valleywag, a tech gossip rag located in Silicon Valley. The article was posted in the Rumormonger section of the magazine, and the author had this to say (bolding is mine): 

Besides hosting Etsy cofounder Rob Kalin on her TV show, we hear Martha Stewart has been "cozying up" to Kalin off camera to talk about a partnership and — a source connected to Etsy employees tells us — a possible acquisition.

No, Martha isn't buying Etsy. Nice rumor, though!
We did meet up to talk about ways to work together, but even that was just a preliminary chat. She made some great cupcakes.

As an Etsy seller, I for one, am very relieved to hear that they are not selling to Martha. Not that I don't like Martha-----I do, and in fact, I really enjoy her tv show. I just don't happen to think that Martha Stewart and Etsy would be a very good fit in terms of................well, we won't go there today. :) 

ps.....um, guess I won't be asked to appear on Martha's show any time soon.
