Fashion: Real Men - Real Style for Real Life

Esquire magazine holds an annual "Best Dressed Real Men" contest. I am a big fan, because I love to see a man who is not afraid to be stylish, and because I think it's a great idea to look at what people are actually wearing on the street/in real life, and find those who have style to emulate.

First, the winner of the 2008 contest, Kenyatte Nelson, from Cincinatti.
Kenyatte Nelson
Models himself after: His dad. "He said that if you're a book and your clothes are the cover, you should dress like a New York Times best seller."”
Great way to look at it. After all, your outer appearance tells people an awful lot about you.

I have always LOVED to see a man in a good blazer, and a pair of jeans. Tip: Try a blazer in a classic color, jeans, and a sweater, or a polo shirt or tee shirt. Very nice.

Some of the other finalists, below.

wow! they all look great!

Spiffy.

I am afraid any One in Good Old Bakersfield, California wearing a bright orange sport coat would, well, It just wouldn't go over well. I'm glad it works elsewhere though.

Beamer

That's a nice looking coat the dark fellow is wearing. I could see myself wearing an outfit like that.

I am not very fond of the orange one but the rest are all hot!
I love your blog, very cute and such hot posts! :D

They all look great...but I do have to say I'm not a fan of bow ties or orange blazers...just me though!!!

I do like men in blazers and jeans but I'm a little more conservative in colors...even I wouldn't wear an orange blazer...:0)

Cheers

I am also not crazy about the orange blazer.........go with a more classic color is my advice. ;)

Thank you all for stopping by!

MATT.....great to see you back!

I'm not real sure about the orange blazer, but I guess he's rockin it. Is that what you call Metrosexual. You've got to admit that it takes some high esteem to think you can pull that one off.

Wow what a good site .....Really informative site ...... Good shoes out there .....I like it ....This is wonderfull one......

Hi,

I never thought orange colored coat will be that much match with a Jean. Now I realized the power of orange...

@ Noreena.....he seems to be metro-sexual. Metro-sexual is more of an overall attitude than strictly what one wears though.

@ Fawad......thank you. :)

@ Jack......well, I would go easy on the orange, lol. :)
