About Inspire Emotion

You've reached the stereotypical "about me" page for Inspire Emotion, so I am going to have to assume that you don't mind boring. ;)

I am a work-at-home single mom in Michigan, and I have a background in fashion design, and sales going back approx 25 years. I am also a painter, and a jeweler, and I  enjoy writing, philosophical discussions, and to some degree, political awareness.

I blog primarily for my own enjoyment, and I am not currently writing for $ on any of my blogs.

Pictures........hmm.

A while back, a reader requested that I post a pic, and so I have. However, I have learned the hard way not to put current personal pics out on the net, so the distorted pic to the left  is the only current pic of myself on my sites.

 

The image below, though ancient [circa 1985] is of myself and my Mom, Heidi, standing slouching on Jackson Square in New Orleans. It has become one of my favorite pics because my Mom died in 2004, and since neither of us likes having our pic taken, there aren't that many of us together.

 

And finally, a pic of the love of my life, my son. My 14-year-old cat is the third or fourth love of my life, but I suspect that she is no. 1 where my son is concerned.

The pic of my cat was taken in January of 2008. She is an indoor cat, and we had never let her out in the snow before, but even at her advanced age, she managed to get by us and run outside when we stepped out in to the garage. It was hilarious because she really, really did not like the snow -- she spent about 30 seconds in it, before she turned and ran flew back inside.
