I have loathed Sarah Palin and everything she stands for since the day I began researching her, which was during her introduction by McCain to the American people.
However, at this point, I am way beyond loathing her. She is a woman without the intellectual wherewithal to compete on the national stage. She is a joke in a quest for a position that is so far beyond her abilities, she doesn't even understand the responsibilities of said position. She is stupid. She is racist. She is unethical. And, unfortunately, we can not just ignore her.She is dangerous.
Sarah Palin's recent attacks on Obama are without any real basis in fact, and Palin's supporters demean her, as Palin demeans all Americans. Encouraging, rather than condemning her supporters who yell horrific things such as " kill him" , "he is a traitor", "treason", "terrorist", and other things of that nature in reference to the Democratic nominee for President of the United States, Barack Obama, is beyond stupid, beyond politics, and bordering on insanity. Palin herself calls him "the best friend of a terrorist", a claim totally without basis in fact, and the Republican party has already acknowledged this. One of her supporters hurled a racial epithet at a network sound guy, and yet she didn't tell the supporter to leave, apologize, nothing. This woman needs to go. Quickly. Away.
Palin needs to recuse herself from this election and allow McCain to select another running mate, hopefully someone with intelligence, ethical limits, and the ability to campaign without arousing racial hatred, among other things. And if she won't resign, McCain needs to grow some real cojones. So I say, show us some real patriotism, Senator McCain. Put your country first.
Give Sarah Palin the boot.

It is interesting how classic propaganda is now being paraded as intelligent reflection.
Grandmother horror story next to unrelated story about Palin - inferring she had some complicity.
However, the really interesting thing is how so many people are taking personal issue with Sarah Palin. As if her nomination is an insult aimed directly at them.
There is a real chance that Shakespeare's famous quote from Hamlet, "...thou dost protest too much, methinks." could come true. Because many of your points may be valid, but when presented in such a strident, confrontive way, instead of making people think, just make people mad.

I agree that classic propaganda is being paraded as intelligent reflection.[Very elegant wording, btw. :)] Palin did exactly that when she repeatedly accused Obama of being “not someone who sees America as you and I do—as the greatest force for good in the world…[but] someone who sees America as imperfect enough to pal around with terrorists who targeted their own country.”
THAT is propaganda. What Olbermann said is the truth. His comparison was a bit of a stretch, but at least he stayed well behind the line that she crossed.
Her nomination is not an insult aimed at Obama, Dan. Not at all. Her nomination was an insult aimed at the American people, and in particular, women, whom McCain assumed would vote for anything in a skirt. And, the fact that this particular woman is a dimwitted redneck, is at the heart of the matter.
My posts are intended to make people angry. Angry at a politician who has abused the good will of the American people towards him, and used it to thrust an individual upon them who is distinctly unfit for high office. He has thus not only not placed his country first, he has placed it in a position of danger that it can ill afford.

The anger and rage is justified. Your article inspired me to write on my blog.
