Inspire Emotion Almost Wordless Monday
Mackinac Island in Northeastern Michigan, is one of my fav places in the world. From the time I was seven years old, I spent many a summer there.
If you are an artist, it is a truly fabulous place to set up your easel. Ask Jane Seymour......the island was the setting for "Somewhere in Time", a movie starring Christopher Reeves and Jane Seymour. Seymour is, of course, a painter.

The bats almost make up for the ever present smell of fudge and horse shit.

I hate to admit this especially on the internets where Vange will see it but...
Somewhere in Time is one of my favorite movies. The island and the period costumes really made it a great flick.
And Jane Seymour will always be hot...

@ Vange....lol at the bats. I never even notice the horse manure. They keep the streets so clean, you rarely even see it. :)
But, oh, that fudge.....yummy.
@ robert....very true. The up is beautiful, and still very desolate in many areas. I hope it stays that way. :)
@ Talen....me TOO! Lol! I watched it twice, and cried both times. :)
The Grand is my fav hotel.....I have many memories of running through hallways there, trout for breakfast, and tickets for the swimming pool. lol.

@ Grandy....no, but if you come visit me, I'll take you there. :)
@ Billy......I've never been to that festival, but I love shopping in Frankenmuth around the holidays. It makes me think of earlier times, and I ADORE the fudge, lol. :)
@ Heather.....it is one of the most beautiful areas I've been, and I've traveled quite a lot. :)
